For 29 years, or shall I say from the time I had my permanent teeth in placed in my maxilla, the gap between my incisor and premolar was already existing.
I got conscious every time I smile on the left part of my face when the snap shot was on, since the gap can be seen.
So, what I did was that I seek advised from my dentist prior to the repair of the gap, I had 8 tooth filling that cost me a lot and each filling of the tooth cost me Php 300.00, then I asked my dentist if what can I do with my gap. She gave me two options, which was the fixed and removable. The fixed where composed of the plastic jacket, the jacket with metal and pure porcelain jacket, of course, prices did matter to me and all the advantages and disadvantages was carefully explained to me. After a couple of months, I went back to my dentist and had my gap repaired. You can see the difference above, before, during and after.
It was the 21st of July this year when I had my tooth gap repaired, and then I went back on the 22nd of July so that the jacket for my teeth will be in placed.
By the way my dentist is Dr. Florence Balgos and she was used to be the dentist in the hospital where I worked, however, I did not knew her from then, because my first dentist was her daughter, but I decided to transfer to the mother dentist due to some field of expertise.
The plastic jacket cost me Php 1500 each tooth, while for those who are interested in a jacket with metal it cost in their clinic for Php 2000/tooth and the pure porcelain which is pretty expensive cost Php 10,000/tooth, which is really dare. Furthermore, the bonding of small gap cost for Php 1500, where I also had my small gap bonded and their dentures cost Php 800, I have no idea if it is per tooth or the entire artificial denture.
I feel more confident when it comes to smiling, as they say, you make me feel like I am.
Smiling!
