Fave Movie for the Week

Mum and I decided to watch another movie and usually, we do not know what to watch. I tired checking the movies showing the our favorite Mall, however, it was not listed in the clickthecity apps of my phone. So we went to the cinema house and there were only two movies that i think will be worth to watch. 

I purchased a ticket for cinema 3(three) that was showing Word Invasion the battle in Los Angeles. I can compare this movie to the movie  War of the world, which was all about the invasion of the aliens. This time, what the aliens wanted was our water, since 70% of our world is comprised of water and the aliens that were invading the planet earth used water as their fuel and blood line. 

The main characters were also really good. Sgt Michael Nantz played by Aaron Eckhart; 2nd Lt. William Martinez who looks good, but sadly died in the middle of the movie was played by Ramon Rodriguez; Cpl Jason Locket played by Cory Hardict; Cpl Kevin Harris played by Ne Yo; Cpl Nick Stavrou Gino Anthony Pesi; TSgt Elena Santos played by Michelle Rodriguez who is known to be one of the most fascinating action star, i have seen her on the fast and the furious and she really moves so fast and boyish and i liked it and lastly Cpl Lee Imlay played by Will Rothhlaar who looks gorgeous and plays a wonderful role as well.

Going back to the story, Sgt Michael Nantz learned the weakest point of the enemy, however, with an advanced technology of the aliens, they were outnumbered, but this time, with the sincerity and eagerness of the latter to save the world, he also find a way to destroy the main control of the aliens. 

After destroying the mother ship in Los Angeles, they are now into another battle with the same aliens in other cities around the world.

I love the show!

Movie date with my Mum

It was a planned date, since today is my day off from my night shift duty in an intensive unit. I thought i would be having a great night in a ward, but then i was a floating nurse again and was assigned in the said unit.

I woke up at around 1 pm and then had some text marathon with my friends. At 4pm, i felt sleepy so i took a nap in the lounge room and then woke up after 15 minutes and prepare for myself for our movie date.

Past 5, we headed to the mall where the cinema is, unfortunately, the next movie will start at around 7.20 pm and we arrived at 6pm, so we need to wait for an hour and 20 minutes, so me and my mum decided to have  a dinner at Chowking, which is one of our favorite fastfood chain. I had fish luriat for dinner while my mum had siopao and halo-halo. We finised eating at 7pm, so we decided to get the ticket.

We came inside the movie theater at 7.10 and it was advertisement time. We sat down in the front row of the balcony. The movie started and we were watching Skyline, it is all about extraterrestrial, has something to do with the invasion of the aliens in the planet Earth. These aliens, who has a unique power to abduct people and kill them and somehow took the brains of the earthlings and place it in their own species and become their aliens. What i do not like was that the ending, i know the guy who's brain was transferred to an alien body saved his pregnant girlfriend survived, but i want to know if the aliens or mother-ship was destroyed and save the man kind. 

We went out of the cinema house at 8.55pm and went home.

Alice in wonderland

I am going to tell you all about the movie called Alice in wonderland. This movie is not a cartoon but a combination of 3d animation and real people. I am amaze with the movie itself,it has almost the same story with the cartoon version,where Alice fell from the real world to this world of mystery as i call it. Of course who would forget the shrinking potion,the cake that make her grow,the rabbit,the cat,the bad red queen and the other characters in the movie. One thing that i am disappointed with is that when the caterpillar (Abosolom) spoke to Alice, the smoke did not form into letters like in cartoons,when it say "who are you",the smokes formed as "o r u". But anyway,i love the movie and there are so many lessons that you can learn,one of it is when the caterpillar told Alice while she was crying that "tears,it never accomplish anything". And i never heard this from the old animation,about the six impossibles,you will know it when you watch the movie. Oh well, i will tell you,first there is a potion that can make you shrink,second there is a cake that can make you grow,third animals can talk,fourth Alice will disappear,fifth there is a wonderland and sixth she can kill the jabberwocky ( a dragon like creature, that can talk and has a spiky head when it turned mad). I like those six impossibles. By the way, Alice her is a grown up lady and she is not a kid anymore and this is her second visit to the wonderland,the first was when she was a kid,where she painted the white roses into red,since the red queen wanted everything to be red,same as the cartoons. On her second return, she fought against the red queen to give the real crown to her sister,the white queen.

I strongly recommend to you guys that you should watch the cartoons first prior to watching the movie.

Right now i am watching the Shutter island.

Moviethon

I just made the title by myself, so i do not care if someone would correct me grammatically. Right now i am watching Drag me to Hell, actually i had seen this movie before with my mum in one of the cinema here in the city where we live, prior to watching this movie, i watched the Legion again, which at first I got confused, but when i read the story in the holy scripture I guess, I was able to understand what was the movie was all about, that was why i watched the movie again. After the Legion, I watched the Ninja Assassin, the story was nice and i really liked to see the way the ninjas do their training and i was able to see it in the movie, but the only thing i did not liked was that the movie was so intense, blood was everywhere and the cutting of the extremities was so disgusting.

Right now, i am watching the Drag me to Hell, at the same time, I am inside lockerz, playing the movie clips.

Mythology

I was bored last night, so what i did, i turned on my TV together with my DVD with it's component and chucked it in( Clash of the Titans 1981 DVD) on DVD player, then i watched it, i find it interesting, since there will be a new remake of this movie and maybe during those years, that movie was really nice, since i can tell it uses different effects, but kinda obvious that it was fake, like those golden bird, the sea monster, medusa and calibus, which was the son of thetis. In the middle of the movie, where andromeda and perseus was about to get married under the statue of goddess thetis, i paused the movie and cooked a couple of hotdog with half of onions and put it in the bread, then i went back and watch the movie, when i got bored, i tried to had a little exercise and i had stiffed neck, and so i stopped instead and continued to watch it. What interests me in the movie was that, there was this old guy that seems to be the sidekick of perseus, i forgot his name, where he told perseus that the reason why medusa got her look, because medusa (used to be the prettiest priestess of Athena), and poseidon made love in the temple of aphrodite, and because she was the goddess of love and jealous, she cursed medusa, that every man that will look into her eye will turn into stone and she was tranformed into half snake and half human with an ugly snake skin body. I know that she was cursed by a goddess, but it was athena who cursed her not aphrodite and even myth books, would tell that it was athena who cursed her...And even in the movie Percy Jackson and the lightning thief, medusa, told athena's daughter that it was her mom's fault why she has that look.

Well, i love mythology so, the director should know the mythology first. I will be watching the Clash of the Titans 2010, and i do believe this is much better than the old one, but hopefully the story will focus also on why the movie was called Clash of the Titans, which the old movie really tell the reason why it will be a clash of the Titans...

So people, do not ever think that 12 Titans will have a fight against gods and godesses of mount Olympus. How i wish i could see the movie of the 12 titans...

2012

It was the 12th of November this year when my sister and her family planned to watch the movie 2012. A night before that day,i was asked by my sister to searched for the time if when would the show or movie start. I only found one which was in village cinemas in knox city (sort of golden field way back home).

We went out home at around 8.15 and drive through movie house near in bayswater. I guessed i had been there but i forgot that place. So my sister and her husband got the family ticket. It was lot cheaper than buying all alone,which would cost an adult Au$10.00 and a little less for young ones.

What amazed me was that,you can not come inside the cinema house eventhough there were no people watching. At the same time,the guy needs to clean up all the pop corns ön the floor.

We were inside the cinema and as i can remember there were only 16 people inside and the sit were a lot better than back,although it were not folded chair. The movie started at 9pm dst,and from the beginning until the end,i can say that the movie was really awesome,from the graphic itself,cinematography,sounds,actors and actresses,the whole plot was really fantastic. The story was all about the expiration of earth where another flood,eruptions and quake destroyed the world. But then,Africa was left untouched and maybe a new place for civilization,that is why it is called the cape of hope. Kinda.

We went out of the cinema at around 11.45 local time and eventhough it is summer,the temperature was 17 degree celcius, and it was kinda freezing,but i was a little used to it.

The Proposal

It was July 29, 2009 when i watched this movie of Sandra Bullock known as Margaret Tater and Ryan Reynolds known as Andrew Paxton.

Well the story was like this, Sandra was known to be the bitch in the work place, she's the chief editor of the company, everyone hated her that would include Ryan. But everything turned out different when Sandra was about to have an issue with her stay in USA since she's a Canadian. There was a forceful proposal with her executive secretary who is Ryan, just to get the fiancee visa in USA.

Everything turned out to be okay in Alaska where they had a visit with Ryan's parents and it so happened that Ryan was the richest guy in their town.

In the end they got married.

Today my sister and here three kids will arrive at 10.10 with PAL flight 133 from mnl-bcd. I'll tell you the update later on...
